Southend Success For Spirit
Colin Fry, well known medium, gave a demonstration of clairvoyance and trance at the Balmoral Community Centre.
He was given a warm welcome by Helen Scarlett representing Southend Spiritualist Centre. Though still recovering from an operation, Colin was in fine form and held the full attention of the audience. His messages from spirit were accepted, and contained much detailed information - and a few surprises. Anything that was not clear to the recipient, he refused to let pass and went back to spirit for more information until the message was understood.
As usual there was some laughter; but the serious side of one message Colin did not reveal to us all, and asked the persons concerned to speak with him afterwards - his usual kindly way of dealing with sensitive issues.
Due to unforeseen circumstances I was privileged to `Chair' for Colin for the second half of the evening which was devoted to trance. As a good percentage of the audience had not witnessed this before, they were in for a treat, and experienced `Magnus' Colin's guide, at his usual best, communicating his very recognisable personality.
He gave full powerful answers to a variety of questions, including spirit rescue, reincarnation, awareness of spirit, and amongst others, how we should be dealing with messages of doom channeled or otherwise, that deal with prophecies for the year 2001.
It was with regret on both sides when `time' was called, but still Magnus would not let the evening close without expressing the wish to give healing to at least one person. A lady was guided forward and sat with her hands in Colin's - but it was obvious she was fully aware it was Magnus speaking to her and giving healing. The uplifting experience was apparent on her face.
'Colin Fry's book `Inspired of Spirit', and video, `Magnus Guides' were on sale in the hall, and he chatted and signed copies for all those waiting for him.
The event was filmed by Michael Courtney-Hunt; All those present were given the opportunity, before the cameras rolled, to be edited out of the proceedings. As usual no one took up the offer. Another enjoyable evening with open minded Spiritualists.
